A few months ago I scattered wildflower seeds over a small patch of garden in front of my window. Ever since I have been trying to imagine what things will look like when the flowers start to appear. This picture is all about waiting for colour. For me, looking at this image it is crying out for bright colours, just like my garden patch. I have purposely resisted finishing the image because I want the viewer to use their own imagination as if they had sown the seeds themselves.
Soft pastels and ink on board.
