This lovely scape was painted in response to a lovely October day walking at Praa sands.
Working from small pieces done on the walk, I reflected on the soft light above the sea and the deep warmth of the grey clouds- not menacing, but comforting and transient as light changed from moment to moment.
‘The surf is gentle today on this beautiful south coast beach’ . The piece is beautifully intimate and takes you straight to the edge of the sea. Two or three vessels- barely discernible are in the distance. We are not quite alone.
At 34.4 cm squared this piece can reside comfortably in your home and take you to the sea.
