Deep Pool is about the wonderful reflections and abstraction in nature. On a winter walk, I came across this pool and was fascinated by the winter sky reflected in the deep water and how the dark banks and foliage contrast with this.
This painting is very expressive and moves into abstract qualities in paint- the light against the dark the strength of form and the feeling of light – even on a winter’s day.
Deep Pool is painted in oil on a wide edged stretcher, it is hung with D clips and cord.
