Schooled at Salford College of Art by Frank Charlson.
After the early death of his father, Stuart had to earn a living so joined the world of Advertising as a Visualiser/Illustrator…from drawing nudes to drawing fridges.
After numerous positions Stuart happily drifted back into the world of painting and drawing. He painted the official portrait of Sir Bobby Charlton that hangs in the National Football Museum, actor Prunella Scales commissioned by an Alzheimer’s Society, it now travels the UK at Alzheimer’s awareness events and galleries.
Stuart has had a number of private portrait commissions too. Still Life, oils and acrylics. Cornwall sketches and Symi sketches in pen and watercolour wash and his enduring passion…Life Drawing.
