Michael Woodman

Michael was born in Cornwall in 1961. After studying illustration at Falmouth School of Art and Design, he settled into a career working as a freelance technical artist and contemporary artist in Cornwall.

Now working primarily as an artist he employs acrylic, watercolour and oil on various surfaces to create his art. Experimentation is a crucial element in his style, incorporating impressionism and abstraction he constantly searches new ways of depicting mood and atmosphere, with the Cornish landscape offering the ideal inspiration for his painting.

So either working in his studio, en plein air gathering sketches and photographs or just walking to soak up local scenes, Michael has a passion for producing his view of Cornwall.
