Kerry Bletso
Kerry Bletso grew up in North Wiltshire, surrounded by rolling hills decorated with white horses and magical stone circles and moved to West Cornwall in 2007. Working mainly in acrylics on canvas and card, Kerry takes her inspiration from her local surroundings. From the stormy skies and tempestuous seas at Portreath and Godrevy to the stunning views on top of Carn Brea, her work is both beautiful and atmospheric, capturing the ever changing light, colours and energy of the sea.
She gained a degree in Textile Design at Loughborough University in 1994, where she developed a passion for colour and surface. On completion of a PGCE Kerry taught Art & Design at schools in Wiltshire and Cornwall and after 20 years of teaching now paints from her studio in West Cornwall.
Kerry has exhibited at The Stable Yard Gallery, Trelowarren Estate, Helst and through Open Studios Cornwall.
