Jon Evison

Living and working on the North Cornish coast, Jon’s work is inspired by the natural beauty and drama that we see along our coastlines and inshore landscapes. Embracing an extensive range of materials and techniques he attempts to bring the energy and drama of Cornwall’s landscapes to canvas, evoking memories for the viewer.

Being constantly drawn to the ocean Jon aims to portray the Cornish coastlines many moods, changes, breathtaking power and sometimes immense dangers as well as recognising the richness of Cornish heritage and history.

Having painted and exhibited widely across Cornwall, Isles and Scillies and beyond Jon has found a distinct style that he feels is unique and captures the landscape of his home county.
