Adrian Holmes is a Print Maker whose passion and primary focus is Japanese woodblock printing. He fell in love with the art of Woodblock printing whilst living in Japan and began to study this beautiful craft and its various techniques.
His work is influenced by his ramblings in nature, exploring semi abstract themes through his woodblock prints.
“I’m fascinated by woodblock printing. Its versatility, openness and process. It’s a medium, which allows for so many possibilities. As I continue to work in the medium of print, understanding new processes, teaching students, and working with other artists as a printer, my approach is still developing and I am still exploring”
Adrian completed a BA (Hon) in Visual arts in 2005. Returning from Japan he now has a Studio based at Krowji in Redruth.
